HP Envy is a HP laptop models targeted for premium line. HP Envy is released with good hardware specs, nice looking design and useful features. HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge is the latest models from this line. HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge specs are: equipped with Intel Core i5-2410M, a dual core Sandy Bridge Intel's second-generation processor, AMD Radeon HD 6630M discrete graphics, which paired with 6 GB DDR3 memory. On the market, HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge price is offered from $1,079.99. Comparing on price and performace, HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge may fall from some other laptop. Acer AS3830TG-6431A which uses same processor but better graphical chip is offered on lower price ($850). Asus U46E-BAL5 which is also uses same processor but larger memory (8 GB) minus discrete graphics has lower price from both ($749.99). But, if you HP lover and search for premium components specs and nice design, HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge still fits to be put on your shop list.

HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge Review Performance, Design, and Features

HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge is equipped with 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-2410M which is a dual core Sandy Bridge processor and paired with 6 GB DDR3 memory. On PCMark 7 full-system benchmark test, HP Envy 14 scored for 2,009 points. While some other contender only relied on Intel integrated graphical chip, HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge also equipped with AMD Radeon HD 6630M discrete graphics as secondary graphical chip (for primary graphical chip, it use Intel HD Graphics 3000 integrated graphical chip). To change between both graphical chip, you have to make the switch manually. On 3DMark 06 testing, HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge scored for 7,751 at medium resolution and 6,509 at native resolution. It beats Asus U46E-BAL5 (scored for 5,085 at medium and 4,191 at native), but falls from Acer AS3830TG-6431A (scored for 9,255). With this graphical performance, you can play Crysis (45.5 fps) and Lost Planet 2 (17.4fps) on HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge at medium resolution. The HP Envy 14 - Sandy Bridge comes with eight-cell, 56Wh battery which can run up to 5 hours 15 minutes (based on MobileMark 2007 battery testing). It falls far behind Asus U46E-BAL5 74WH battery that can reach 7 hours 19 minutes and Acer AS3830TG-6431A's 68Wh battery (8 hour 18 minutes).
